I'm losing the fight against drought, but my little Travelling
Sprinkler is at least helping. I'm getting a quote for irrigation for
next Spring. Can't wait.

Here's another question:
If I want to overseed in the Fall, how much will I expect to spend?

I have about 50,000 sq ft of lawn.

How much seed is that?
Do I buy "namebrand" seed, or buy it through local channels
(nurseries, landscapers, etc.)?

Well, rule of thumb is 4 to 7 lbs per 1000 sg ft, so lets go
with 5 as a round number (250 lbs).

I buy most of my seed from LESCO, if there's not one close to
you, go with a landscape supply outlet. Be sure to check the
germination test date and weed content located on the tag.

Weather sure is strange, here in northern Ohio we've had
a really wet spring. I haven't even used my irrigation
system yet..

Dean did admitt for a while that was from steubenville, yes. Steubenville
went through a 'tourist' faze in the late 1980's and they thought that
they would paint murals all over buildings that were about to fall down in
the down town core. They ended up painting one of Dean Martin, but eiter
Dean himself or some representative of his estate told them that they
would not endorse it and wanted nothing to do with it at all.... Go
figure.

With the asian markets dumping the steel on the global market it's hard
for any one to make a buck with steel. Weirton steel got smart about it
and went to making a lot of specialty steel. That with the fact that they
are the only employee owned steel mill in the world makes it attractive to
buyers it seems. My dad is stil working 5 12's a week with a fat esop
check at the end of the year.

Hahaha, would rather be weird than stupid I guess. My father, grandfather
and uncles all worked for the mills. My father still works for weirton
steel and an uncle works for wheeling-pit. My grandfather worked for
bethany steel then back to weirton steel. I would of stayed there if
there was other types of jobs than coal mining or steeling. It's a dieing
industry there and the education system is just as dead. Fear there maybe
little hope for the ohio valley now' days. I took my family back to ohio
in 1998. We stayed for a year and the only good jobs were in pittsburg...
60 miles away. Just couldn't afford to stay.

really from steubenville. I've met 3 people out here who have claimed to
be from that area and after a little conversation with them they all
admitted that they were from stuebenville. None of them wanted to claim to
be from stuebenville, including myself.
