Is there any way to prevent bees in my yard? Not just wood bees, but also
yellow jackets and wasps. Any way to prevent them from making nests on this
in my yard?

put out yellow jacket traps in the late winter or early spring. the queens
search for homes in early spring. so if you prevent the queen from making a
home in your yard, you wont have any yellow jackets.

Wrong again. Yellow jackets are scavengers and are attracted to food,
just like flys. The traps lure them with sugar water or fruit juice.

Traps are not a failsafe for them.
