The entire container will only come to about 32 Kg when full. Even if using a sack truck (which would be necessary when collecting full barrels of anything above 30-litres in capacity, for example a full 50-litre barrel), one would still need to lift the full container into your vehicle at the end of the trek back to the vehicle and when unloading the vehicle. And so, 30-litre barrels are superior to 50-litre barrels. They are the nexus of portability against the backdrop of volume. Furthermore, one could simply give away a 30-litre barrel along with its contents when selling the latter. This would save time.
