Default Wildfowl & Wetland Trust win a Perfect Pond

Be your favourite wildlife presenter, inspire others and win prizes sponsored by Flexible Lining Products

The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) is launching a YouTube competition this week to find a budding wildlife presenter to be the public face of its Wildest Hide & Seek survey in May to raise awareness of the value of neighbourhood wetlands in the UK.

The competition at www.wwt.org.uk/hideandseekpresenter is offering prizes sponsored by Flexible Lining Products Limited including a pond for your garden or school, VIP visits to a WWT Wetland Centre of your choice, WWT family memberships, and the opportunity to see Sir David Attenborough at an exclusive event at WWT London Wetland Centre in May. Plus the overall winner’s YouTube video will be used to launch the Wildest Hide & Seek and the winner will be a guest news presenter on Green TV.

To enter WWT’s Be your favourite wildlife presenter YouTube competition, aspiring Sir David Attenboroughs, Bill Oddies, Nick Bakers, David Bellamys or Mike Dilgers need to video themselves delivering our audition script in the voice or visual style of their favourite wildlife presenter. Make it as interesting, exciting and inspiring as you can, then upload the video to YouTube and send the link to .

In support of the competition, wildlife TV presenter Nick Baker said: “The role of a good wildlife presenter is to inspire others with their passion and get other people excited about wildlife and the world around them. The ability to inspire others is also an important part of conservation and WWT’s founder Sir Peter Scott – himself a wildlife presenter – certainly inspired a lot of people, including Sir David Attenborough, about the importance of conservation, so I’d encourage anyone to have a go if they can.”
