Default The Perfect Stroller Buyer's Guideline

CONSIDERATIONS BEFORE YOU BUY

o Lifestyle Needs / Transportation: There are many types of strollers to choose from so your lifestyle needs should be taken into consideration. Something to think about should be the age of your child. Different strollers are designed for various ages. Transportation should also be considered. If you have a larger model, you will need to be able to make sure that it will fit into your vehicle. Frequent use of public transportation will require a lightweight construction that can fold quickly and easily. Many parents opt for two different styles to fill their various needs such as a travel system and jogging stroller.

o Size and Weight: Your new stroller should be appropriate for the size and weight of your child. Infants should be able to lie completely flat with the seat fully reclined or use a travel system where an infant car seat can be attached. As the child ages, be aware of the manufactures weight limits. A standard requirement is a maximum weight limit of 40 pounds along with adjustable footrests and a large seating area. Adjustable handles to fit your height when pushing is advantageous.

o Opening and Closing: Check to see if it folds easily with one hand. Make sure that it will lock into place when fully opened. Always follow the manufacturers directions for properly opening and closing.
