processing. After all, why grow opium poppies just for the fun of

my aunt used to grow them - very pretty plants...

dad asked her if she was in any pain...she made a funny face...then he said
those are poppies...

how do the deer like them I wonder...i really only grow deer proof plants...

According to Webster's, all poppies contain some level of opiate in them (but the p.
somniferum is the one which produces the most).

I've seen poppys growing in lots of gardens accross the Country and they are
nice. I've been planning on adding them to my garden. I don't believe
these are the varieties that grow in Turkey by the drug lords.

Just curious Walter.... do you live in the Triangle (central NC) or outside
the area? Also, don't the seeds need to go out after the first frost if
they are to bloom the next season?
