Default Reccomendation on a Fast-Growing Screen?

Need to plant a screen about 40" long along property line at rear of
lot, with mostly skinny pines (and their roots) already there. Area
has other misc. deciduous trees, with trunk diameters under 6 inches.
Stays quite shady.
Want something that grows tall, quick.

Considering wax myrtle or leyland cypress, at present.

Thanks,
Gary
