There are some plants deer will not eat, but they will happily munch
on what ever they like right beside the herb they will not eat. I
have made some repellers that seem to work for hostas, but are not
100%. They are cheap to make, use deer repellant I buy from a garden
center, and it does not have to be reapplied after each rain. You do
have to replentish the repellant every week or three. Here is a URL
to my flickr account where there are a series of 4 photos showing how
I made them.

Good luck,

I've had it with deer. Last year they leveled the garden. This year I
am putting a chicken wire fence around the two garden areas. Hopefully
keep the bunnies away too.

Unless you already have the chicken wire, dollar for dollar it would
be cheaper to put up 7' wildlife netting.

OK, I'll check out wildlife netting. Who sells it? Do places like
Lowe's carry it?

I take it you can't be arsed to feed
'site:lowes.com wildlife netting' to google or bing?
Or to aim your web browser at http://www.lowes.com/
and feed 'wildlife netting' into their search box?

Some folks just need to puff themselves up by being rude on message
boards.
Have at it.

If you ask if a store carries something when that store has an online
catalog, expect me to be a prick. You can call it rude, I call
it swatting a puppy on the nose when it tries to eat the cat.
