Default 2 days left to arrange pickup of ice storm debris

I just talked to the city about the pickup of remaining limbs and
debris from the ice storm. No further rounds of the pickup trucks are
planned through Raleigh's neighborhoods.

They are only picking up now as a result of call in's. You must call
in by Friday in order to get on the list for free pickup. They cannot
give you the actual date the pickup will occur, but they will get to
it eventually. After Friday, any calls to the City requesting pickup
of yard debris will carry the standard charge ($35 I think).

Of course they will still pickup debris that is cut to the proper
length and tied into bundles or placed in baskets.

Here is the number to request debris removal: 831-6446.
