Default Bioswales for retaining moisture

Does anyone have experience with digging up swales and planting them
in order to create a long-term moisture retention in a garden? It
would be nice to share ideas. I'm thinking here in the triagle we are
getting enough rain, that if designed properly you won't have to water
vegetables much.
Very interesting... Thanks for your input.

Diana
