Default Beets...

Hey all,

I planted some beets back (waaay, back) in March. I've got some that are
about the size of a golfball, and others no bigger than peas. My question
is:

What can you do to make beets grow larger? Some of my radishes had the same
problem.

Is it too late now for them to even try to let them grow? I know they are a
cool weather plant, so I'm figuring I should just plow 'em under and try
again in the fall.

Any input is appreciated...
