Any ideas on what is eating the green tops of my tulips? It doesn't seem to
be interested in the daffidols.

Deer are terrible about dining on landscaping. They would make a pass
through our yard about the time the Day Lilies were 6" tall, taking them
down to the mulch. The Day Lilies would then regrow and send up a flower
stock, and the deer would then munch the buds off. Strangely, they never
ate the second growth of the Day Lily leaves.

I suspect that deer may have been munching your plants.

While there a few deer around I have never seen them up that close to the
house. I supose it could be there midnight snack. I just spent 3 hours
cleaning the centipeed grass out of the flower bed they were in. Bulbs just
don't seem worth it anymore. :)

We have actually had deer come into our garage and nibble on the dog's food.
One night, our daughter came home about 10:30p and caught about 9 or 10 deer
in the garage.

Bet on the deer. I have found them eating azaleas next to a large window
with two dogs barking in broad daylight. Looks for tracks in the dirt.

Daffodils are toxic so deer (or rabbits or squirrels) don't often eat them.

Bet on the deer

I discovered today that the deer have been chewing off the new growth on our
few *irises*. What sort of thanks is that for all the corn we've been feeding
them at night?! Ingrates!
