How long for herbicide to work?

Hi,

I recently had Finale (I think an equivalent of Roundup) applied to several
areas of my lawn to prepare for some new beds. It's been several days, and
the grass still looks the same. Does anyone know how long it takes to kick
in? Also, it rained several hours after the application. The person who
applied it said that it would take about 30 minutes to dry, so as long as it
didn't rain until after that, it should still work. He also said that it can
remain effective for two weeks, so I'm not planning to reseed the rest of
the lawn until after that.

Finale works very quickly and is very hard to wash off. Your grass should
begin to turn within a couple of days and be dead in 7-10 days.
