Frost predicted for Fri morning
I have some Romain lettuce that I planted late and was thinking I should
protect from the frost. Any ideas? Thanks, Robert |

Frost predicted for Fri morning
Robert,
If it is over 3" tall now, it will probably be all right, but I usually just throw an old bed sheet over any "bed" that is young and better off not nipped by the first frosts. My garden has sustained remarkably little damage even in ice or snow storms or temps in the 20s. I suspect that lettuces and mustards and cabbage family have antifreeze in their veins.... Please call me or email me off list. laurie (Mother Mastiff) "Robert Gray" wrote in message .com... I have some Romain lettuce that I planted late and was thinking I should protect from the frost.
