Default duckweed, anyone?

I'm a local high school teacher looking for some quick suggestions on
where to buy duckweed for a science lab. I have been told it's hard to
find around here. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions anyone
could give!

Thanks,

Alan

I remember a huge amount of it in some of the ponds in Eastern NC.
Merchant's Mill pond is one that comes to mind.

This time of year might be hard to find some, but I've seen it on dozens of
little rural ponds. We used to have a "carpet" of it on our pond until we
got grass carp :-)

There's a pond near me that I saw it on all last summer, I'll drive by
tomorrow and see if it's green now.
