Default Michelia figo (banana shrub)

My family had a Michelia figo (banana shrub) where I grew up
in New Orleans. I'd really like to have a couple or three in
the yard here in Apex. Does anyone know how well these do
here? Even better, if you have one would you share some
cuttings???

Thanks everyone.

We have one that is huge - almost tooooo big. We live between Holly Springs
and Fuquay and you are welcomed to stop by to see it yourself. Bottom line,
ours apparently loves it here. You are welcome to take all the cuttings you
want. It needs trimmed!
