Default Frost Protection

What is the best way to protect my plants from frost tonight?
I have a couple of bales of wheat straw and am thinking of using that.

You could use the straw, but it may be messy to clean up after. You can
also use a large blanket, burlap, or bed sheets. Just lay it over the
plants and weigh down the edges with boards or rocks. Don't use a plastic
tarp unless you put a center post in to hold it off the plants. Frost will
damage the plants wherever the plastic touches them. Once the sun rises,
remove the covering from the plants so they don't get baked from the sun
later in the day.
