This photo is of the Restricted Glasshouse, where the majority of the
collection is housed and brought out to the public viewing area when in flower. My thanks to Danny and Becky Brinkman (Director of the Orchid Collection) for showing me around and allowing me access to this area. The other photo is of Becky in front of one of the huge ventilation fans for controlling the climate in the glasshouses. ~John |

Probably largest fan but also check out the heating/cooling system!! To die
for. Hate to think what the monthly electricity/gas bill is. Everything is BIG in Atlanta. ;-) "wendy7" wrote in message ... *GG* Good one Reiner. -- Cheers Wendy No Spam Email Address Invalid AusDigi wrote: "John Varigos" wrote in message m... For anyone that's been to ABG, this is the fan under the cool house that
feeds air into the three big ventilation pipes. Air entering the system is drawn through an array of nozzles that basically creates a wall of chilled water to drop the temperature and humidify it, something adapted from the textile industry. It's a very effective climate control system. -danny "John Varigos" wrote in message om... Probably largest fan but also check out the heating/cooling system!! To die for.
