Seeing all the Odonts that Eric posted a couple of days ago made me
realize that I should get a picture of mine before it's too late. This
one is kind of plain compared to some of the fancy ones that Eric
showed, but it's still very nice.
Some years ago I bought 5 Odont hybrids and this is the ONE that
wouldn't bloom. (Two others are in bloom or bud right now too.) About 9
months ago, I decided to starve it. "No food for you until I see
flowers." Actually, this one is in osmunda so it hasn't been suffering.
Anyway, this fall it started to push up 4 spikes. One got kinked and
died but the other 3 did just fine.

Nice! Funny that you had to starve it in order to get it to bloom.
