Clean!

This is my favorite orchid. Its Blc Egyptian Queen 'Inner Fire' which blooms
bright orange with a jewel colored lip. Quite striking. It bloomed with
misshapen parts and the new growth's leaves came out with these stripes and
folds.

It tested clean. No virus. [whew]

Again, I don't want to hear about the 457 other viruses it could be that
there are no tests for. If it blooms bad again I'm tossing it. [waaaaaaaa!]

Thanks for posting this set, Kathy.
This just proves the point that nobody can tell for sure if a plant is
virused, just by looking at it.

I will NOT bring up the subject of 457 other viruses but there is
another subject that is just as discouraging. What about false positives
and false negatives with the tests they do at Critter Creek? I remember
reading about someone who had the same plant tested twice and got
different results. Someone, probably here on one of the orchid
newsgroups, claimed the error rate was fairly high. At the time, it made
me decide to hold off on testing my plants.

I just checked the Critter Creek web site to see if they made any claims
of accuracy. I didn't read every page but I didn't see it. Mostly I'm
just thinking out loud and wishing someone could allay my fears.
