Default Bletilla striata albescens

This hardy terrestrial is one of three different bletillas in my front
yard and does well here in Ohio. It isn't quite alba and therein is the
key: the alba form doesn't do as well in our winters here and usually
it's the albescens which one finds here in cultivation. If you look
closely you can see the barest blush of lavender on the top of the
column. Makes all the difference!
