Default What is this?

This is a plant I've had for a few years, which periodically reblooms with
these lovely star shaped speckled orange flowers. Unfortunately, no label.
Can anyone help me figure out what this is? A few of the leaves have
accordioned a bit, making me wonder if this might be an oncidium.
Thanks,
Chuck Berlin

It's got some Brassia in it and either Odontoglossum (Odontobrassia)
or Ada (Brassada) is likely, but hybrids are IMPOSSIBLE to identify
from pictures. Even mericlones can vary. Enjoy it, it is lovely.

Thanks for the information. Perusing web photos, it does look a lot like
some of the brasadas posted, which is helpful. Taxonomy and identifications
remain murky to me; I do understand that this is complicated stuff requiring
close study of actual specimens. I'm happy just to be in the general
ballpark with those plants in my collection. This usually gives me enough
information to do some cultural research when necessary. My pleasure comes
from the gradual thriving and flowering of the plants in my small
collection. I have no aspirations to show anything so am less concerned
about precise nomenclature.
