Cymbidium spots (mites?)

I noticed lots of small dark reddish-brown spots on and around my
cymbidiums. They look like tiny fern spores and are smaller than spider
mites. No visible legs or wings, but they were disbursed up to several feet
from the plants. There are no spider mite webs around or visible damages to
the orchids. One plant is in bud, but the others have not bloomed. There
are hundreds of other orchids around the cymbidiums, some which have been
fighting scale, but these spots only seem to be by the cymbidiums.

Can anyone help me identify these spots? Thanks.

Terri

Could you please send me an email when you find out what the spots
are? I had them on my Cym., now also on my Vandas.

Geir
