Kiki has a spike....break it or keep it?
 

I have a kiki that has been sloooowly growing "a" root for the past few
months, but now its also grown a flower spike about 4-inches long. The
root is about 5-inches long and I've not wrapped it with spaghnum or
anything...its just "out there"...

Question: will the flower spike sap the energy from the kiki and should I
break off the spike,...or leave it alone?

The parent plant also has two spikes and is in great health.

Personally, I'd leave it on but give it some support. You can do that with a
stake. Make sure to give the keiki roots water when you water the plant.
