Can't stop it in usenet, but you can block them. I no longer see them.
Welcome!

I didn't say this: What's say we petition MI5 to use their "victim" to
prove once and for all that water boarding is not torture?

I said this: This newsgroup has no moderator: nobody filters the
content posted here except the people who post it. You don't have to
receive it. You can block it or filter it much more easily than you
can stop him/her from posting it. You may or may not have the ability
to block it or filter depending on which software you use to view the
newsgroup; much the same way you might filter email/spam. It looks
like you are using a windows explorer browser to view the newsgroup
from a Google forum. If this is the case, your browser probably can't
block it or filter it. You might do some research on "USENET" and
"newsgroups readers" to find a piece of software that will let you
filter the posts before you see them. You don't have to use google
groups to view this newsgroup.

Oh Newbie, this is the internet!! Dingbats abound here!!
Whoever this MI5 dingbat is, he is getting his rocks off this way. Not
your way, and not my way either, but that's what the internet is all
about.
I was under the impression that the US constitution said good things
about free speech and the use thereof by it's citizens. Perhaps the
twit who feels persecuted by MI5 is not a USA citizen, but should we
not give him (her?) the benefit of the doubt and let him (her?) do
their thing??

What do I care? Nothing. Does it get to me? No

Live and let live

Tony
PS. Merry Xmas to all MI5 members.

Specifically, the First Amendment to the US Constitution prohibits -
government- control of speech. "Congress shall make no law,...etc."
It says nothing at all about private control of speech.

Perhaps the
twit who feels persecuted by MI5 is not a USA citizen,...

He's a British nutjob. MI5 is British Military Intelligence.

I missed it the first time myself, but I checked again because I use
outlook and outlook express on occasion. It is there. ..and, not to
belabor the point, right below Section 8.8 too.

That nFilter prefilter add-on thingie looks interesting: Section 8.7

I used to find it hard to ignore people who got on my nerves and tried
a variety of these programs but then I actually started
*reading* ...days later... the crap *I* spit out. I had to bite my
own wrist sometimes to keep from pointing out what a bozo I am in
front of everybody (if anyone) who reads this stuff. So I leanrt
tolerance. Okay not really, I am just running out of words
here... ...and eggnog... I gotta go.

Visualize me in a sugarplum costume and enjoy your long winter's nap.

Janet, he's a space alien! He can't be photographed - just ask him! He once
went so far as to have a customer pose for a picture so he could post it in
an abpo thread where we all showed our faces!

The person is posting his or her nonsense all over Usenet, to many groups,
annoying many people because they're hard to killfile.
