Phal. problem...

Hi all,
I'm looking for some help with a Phal. that I've had since 4/4/02. I have
4 different pictures of the plant in question plus my question is there,
too, on the url below. I would appreciate any help that anyone can offer.
Thanks!
Kathy K.=^..^=

Hi Kathy
what you have in pot picture (phalf1a) is algae and I would think this is
normal considering you are using clear plastic pots. Picture (phalf2a) is
of normal root growth. As long as your mida is good I would not transplant.
However if your move your plant around then I would give it some support as
new roots don't like to be wiggled.
Hope this is some help

Thanks Dusty. I have already re-potted the Phal. on the 25th. There were a
couple of rotten roots & the bark medium was breaking down. It did appear to
be fungus growing around the roots. I put it in a new pot with fresh
bark(plus some charcoal & coarse perlite.). Now hopefully it will still
bloom. Oh -I also did flush the newly potted Phal. with Physan 20. Maybe I
should drench it with benomyl too.? Thanks again.:-)
