Fertilizer question -June 2003 Orchids Magazine

Hi Folks,

The June 2003 Orchids magazine has an article about a new fertilizer titled
"Without High Phosphorus." Perhaps some of you have read the article and
even ordered some. My question is regarding the sidebar on page 459 and the
calculations for obtaining a solution of 125ppm of Nitrogen. About the
middle of the page the text tells you to

"Multiply 125 by the number of gallons of fertilizer you want. Divide that
result by the ("number value" of Nitrogen in your fertilizer times 1200)"

It then shows an sample calculation where it uses a value of 1500 times the
number value of Nitrogen. So - which is it? 1200 or 1500?

David

1200.

You'll also see, in the "souces" portion of that sidebar, that 25 pounds =
159 kg!
