Well, we decided to allow for "spectacular and noble" hobbies the same
time that Amazon allowed for books that weren't "jungle related".

I did! Actually, just as often TV producers used to stop by the
original Oddhobby and the next thing you know you'd see our hobbyists
as part of an oddity news clip. The U.K. was big on "sampling"
content from the old Oddhobby.

Most of our fans are people who start their collections in their
living rooms and end up getting a new building just for the
collection. So, when I saw the 60 minutes story I was shocked that we
didn't already have an Orchid hobbyist, not even one from the old
days. But we did have a banana guy--long odd story.
