Ortho Bug-B-Gone

Is it safe to spray trees and shrubs located near Orchids in Florida.
I would not spray the orchids, but some spray is sure to drift into
the orchid area.
Thanks

I have never used it, but would suggest you read the label for 2 things:

1. What are the active ingredients and their percentages? They may well be
things like acephate, which is commonly sold for use on orchids under other
brand names. E.g., Orthene 75% WP, an old staple becoming hard to find
around here, is 75% acephate. If you can identify the ingredients and track
them to chemicals that are actually labelled for orchids, you should be
safe.

2. In general, a pesticide labelled for "ornamentals" is USUALLY safe for
MOST orchids. So if this one is labelled for ornamentals, it's unlikely
that some minimal "overspray" would do any major harm, but of course there
is a lesser degree of confidence in that route.
