A friend sent me this photo link. I want this plant. I need this plant.
This plant has "Diana" written all over it. What? You can't see my name on
it?

It is lovely.

Epi pseudepidendrum x Epi ilense Registered by T. Matsuda in
1989. There was an award in 1989 and another in 2002. So keep
looking it should turn up some where. I see a CA garden center
with the Matsuda name. Maybe some one out there has more
information.

Matsuda Nursery Inc 195 Waikahe Rd (808) 959-9141, I did find
this listing in the orchid nurseries in Hilo, HI

Good Luck.

The only one that seems to turn up is in a newsletter about a
Japanese Orchid Society.
Please, let me know if you find it anywhere.

Try Carter & Holmes - call if you don't see it on their site.

Somebody must sell it, I see it at shows in Michigan all the time.
Makes a good show plant. I've lost the beginning of this thread, but I
presume somebody is looking for one. If they e-mail me directly I can
make sure to tell them when I find it. I thought Oak Hill was selling
them at one point.

he Diana,
I've seen a plant not so long ago in two different places with flowers
looking exactly like that one. I'm nt sure about the name, they didn't have
a name tag and i forgot to ask the growers.
first is in the private collection of Jacky orchiflora here in belgium.
http://www.orchidjacky.be/

The second place was in the netherlands at a vendor called 'de wilg'. I
can't seem to find their internet site and don't realy have time to look I'm
in de middle of my exams but try this site from the dutch Orchid sociaty
http://www.nov-orchidee.nl/
try diverse - leveranciers adressen
it's on the right side of the page. those should be the adresses of the
vendors in NL, you can also just write the Nov a mail and I'm sure they will
give you info about 'De Wilg'
Cheers
Peter

Diana,

I.....er.....hesitate to say this, but I have a Plastic Doll. I just looked
at the tag and, unfortunately, the vendor's name is not on it.

But, since you will eventually have one, I wanted to mention that the main
reason it is called Plastic Doll is because of the substance of the flower.
It actually feels like plastic.

Also, after it flowers, do NOT remove the spike. I've had mine for 4 years
and it has reflowered on the old spike at least yearly. For awhile, it
would rebloom approximately every 3 months, with a more significant blooming
yearly. Repotting took care of that silly tendency! However, since the
repotting, it now has a couple of new growths and has started the reblooming
again.

If I can find the vendor, I will let you know.

That's why I suggested you call. Mine was sent in error (instead of
Annelie Wans, which I did eventually get), but I got one from them
about 6 months ago, so they had them then.

Diana -
Guess what I found for sale at the OS tonight? Yes. Epi Plastic
Doll, unfortunately not in bloom. There are buds.
I will tell you now, the EPC's have similar - but much larger
flowers for the pot size.

Two people tonight told me that Oak Hill used to have some and
Fantasy Orchids here used to have them. Both places have
websites. I don't think either has the plant listed. So it is
an email to check sources. Or pick your favorite.

You know how you stand over a plant talking, and kind or fuss
with any dry stuff and old spikes ..... etc.
I almost clipped some of the old spikes off while I talked to the
OS member who sold it to me.
John thanks for the warning. I can see this one has bloomed for
quite a while on some of these spikes.
