Default US Botanic Garden

For those of you who like me live in the Washington DC area (or plan to
visit here before March 21). There is an exhibit currently going on at the
US Botanic Garden "Orchids: Beauty and Beyond". Go to http://www.usbg.gov/
to find out more.

I went there today. It was not nearly as impressive as the Tokyo Show of
course, but they had some very nice Cyms, Phals, Catts, Laelias, Paphs,
Dendrobiums, Oncidiums, Miltanopsis, and even a few Lycaste, Epis, and one
absolutely stunning blue Vanda. I did not have my photo camera along this
time, but there were a few beauties I will be tempted to return to see again
before this show ends.

I was quite pleased by how many more orchid genera I can now recognize
before reading the labels, and this is mostly due to all the education I am
getting through the photos at abpo. :-)

Best,
Joanna
