Cochleanthes amazonica yellow leaves issue

Within the last week or two, 3 leaves of my cochleanthes amazonica have
grown yellow fairly rapidly.

I have no idea whether these were old leaves or not. How does one tell with
an orchid that grows leaves all over the place (like the cochleanthes)
instead of from one central crown (like a Phal) which leaves are old and
which are new?

I have had this plant since November, I am not sure whether it has grown any
new leaves in this time (I have not observed new leaf growth, but that might
be due to my not paying enough attention to its leaf-growth). This plant has
been growing a lot of new roots, and its root system looks healthy (it's in
a transparent plastic pot, so I can tell).

The main environmental changes recently for this plant have been:
-- more humidity :-)
-- a switch from a cold mist to a warm mist humidifier (not by choice but
because my cold-mist broke and I could only buy a warm-mist in the DC area
at this time of year). This humidifier is about 30 inches away from this
plant. Could that be too close? Could the warm steam be the culprit?
-- it is probably getting a bit more light than it used to have (there is a
150 Watt grow light about 36 inches above this plant)
-- it is definitely warmer now than it used to be (our air conditioner is
not working too well right now, and the weather is getting to be in the 80+
Fahrenheit). I know that the cochleanthes prefers intermediate temps. I
don't know how much I can do to improve the temperature situation in this
apartment though. :-(

Based on all this info, can you make any educated guess as to whether the
loss of 3 leaves within a week or two is a problem or not? and if it is a
problem, what is your best guess as to a possible cause and solution to the
leaf yellowing?

By the way, this is the same plant that had bud blast problems for several
months, but the increased humidity seems to have done the trick: its current
bud is growing big and it looks healthy thus far :-)

Thanks in advance for any feedback,
Joanna
