coelogyne cristata var. lemoniana
anyone have experience with coelogyne cristata? i recently purchased a very
fragrant and beautiful var. lemoniana in an 8 inch plastic pot. was told by grower that this orchid could be grown either in a pot or basket w/ any fairly 'soft, well drained compost' YET the grower has grown his for years in nothing - plastic pots w/ the plants 'plopped' in 'em...he waters & fertilizes every week. from what i've read they seem to grow easily, grow cool and don't like to be repotted. do they like shade, semi shade? what temps are best for day/evening? humidity requirements? would truly appreciate any guidance you experts can provide... |
coelogyne cristata var. lemoniana
I have straight coelogyne cristata which I grow with cymbidium. It's
only a young plant but has grown very well. Hopefully, it'll bloom this year. They need bright light to bloom, similar to cymbidium. Give them very little water in winter. Hope this helps.
