How do i safely remove mounted plants?

I want to pot up a couple of my mounted orchids, as they are not doing too
well under my low humidity conditions. How do I get about doing it without
or at best minimally damaging the roots which are clinging into the mount.

thanks

Dada

Depending on the growth habit, you may be able to just pot the whole mount.
If not, give it a 20-30 minute soak to soften the roots before you start
trying to pry them off.
