thin leaves on a Phal?

I vaguely remember reading at some point what it means if a Phal that tended
to have broad leaves puts out new leaves that are much thinner in width, but
I don't remember. Too little fert? too much light? (this is a plant that is
probably getting more light than others). Also this plant has been with me
only since January, and the previous broad leaves developed in its previous
home, whereas the two thin ones are new and developed here. The two thin
ones are also much lighter in color -- as I said this particular plant is
probably one of the few in my apartment that might possibly be getting more
than enough light, whereas most of my plants are more on the a bit too low
light side. Any suggestions? Or does it not mean anything specific after
all? Length-wise these new leaves are likely to grow longer than older ones,
just spindlier looking.

Thanks,
Joanna
