Hozon and fertilizer mix
How many ounces of 30-10-10 fertilizer is needed to make a one gallon solution
for use with a Hozon injector? |
1) What is the final concentration you're looking for?
2) What is the injection ratio of the Hozon? If we assume 125 ppm N and 16:1 (my current feeding rate and the ratio of an old Hozon I once had), then each gallon of concentrate will make 16 gallons of final product, and the concentrate must have 16 x 125 = 2000 ppm N. Using the calculator at www.firstrays.com/fertcalc.htm, we see that 1 teaspoon of 30-10-10 provides 396 ppm N, so your concentrate will need 2000/396 = 5.05 teaspoons of fertilizer to make of a gallon. -- Ray Barkalow - First Rays Orchids - www.firstrays.com Plants, Supplies, Books, Artwork, and Lots of Free Info! ..
