Some updates to my Orchid Species photo pages
Hi everyone,
I've been putting in the work on the website the last few weeks and wanted to let everyone know what's new: * Thumbnail pages R and S are up. There are large numbers of Restrepias, Stanhopeas, Sobralias, Scaphosepalums represented. Lots of other fascinating species as well. http://www.orchidphotos.org/images/o...es/r/index.htm http://www.orchidphotos.org/images/o...es/s/index.htm * The July Bay Area Pleurothallid Alliance Meeting is finally up. Sorry it took so long. Lots of new Masdevallias, Lepanthes, and Draculas. http://www.orchidphotos.org/images/o...2004/index.htm * My trip to what I think is one of the best Orchid Conservatories in the United States - the Fuqua Orchid Center at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Their Highland Tropics room was amazingly close to being in the forest in Ecuador. If you're in or close to Atlanta, this is a *must stop* event for serious orchidists. http://www.orchidphotos.org/images/o...tGdn/index.htm * San Francisco Orchid Society events. October OrchidFest was well attended and there were lots of great things to see. The October and November Orchid Society meetings had some unusual species including Helcia brevis, Aeranthes henricii, Grosourdya appendiculata, Catasetum ochraceum, Dendrobium tobaense, and lots more. http://www.orchidphotos.org/images/o...Fest/index.htm http://www.orchidphotos.org/images/o...2004/index.htm http://www.orchidphotos.org/images/o...2004/index.htm Keep checking back - the October Bay Area Pleurothallid Alliance Meeting is in process and I am about to start updating letters A thru S again with new species as well as trying to finish the alphabet. Too many wonderful orchid events to attend, greenhouses to visit, photos to take to get it all done. Enjoy! Feel free to contact me with comments, suggestions, or questions. -Eric in SF www.orchidphotos.org |
