PANTYHOSE BAGS AND FERTILIZER
 

I visited the gardens at the local AOS and saw that they has plants attached to
trees. The binding holding the plants to the tree also had a filimentous bag
filled with pellets of fertilizer. So I went home and took a pair of old
pantyhose from my wife. I cut setions from the leg portions, resluting in short
tubes. I tied a knot at one end. Filled it wtih pellets of slow release
fertilizer and knoted the the other end. I dropped these home made bags onto
the surface of my potted orchids.

The orchids are out doors here in SE. Florida. Blooming like blazes and growing
like mad. Some in clay pots with extra holes drilled in the sides and some in
wooden boxes of slats (home made) which are hanging in trees..
