EARTHSHIP SAILS IN VALENCIA, SPAIN APRIL 2004

Earthship Biotecture, based in Taos, New Mexico, Offering Two
Acclaimed Earthship Seminar Workshops in Valencia

An expert team of architects, contractors and trained builders will be
in Valencia, Spain April 8 through April 14 to conduct two, three-day
workshops in Earthship building. An Earthship is a sustainable,
autonomous dwelling that gets its power from the sun and the wind,
water from rain and snow, and treats its own sewage.

Valencia workshop participants are traveling to Valencia from
Barcelona, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Greece, Romania, America and
other countries. Workshop training sessions, seminars, slide shows and
round-table discussions will be conducted in both Spanish and English.

Michael Reynolds, workshop leader and creator of the internationally
respected and acclaimed Earthship, has been, for more than 30-years,
developing and building sustainable living structures throughout the
world.

Seminar attendees will be shown how to build an Earthship through
hands-on involvement and demonstrations of construction methods. They
will build a demo Earthship on donated land outside Valencia. Mr.
Reynolds and his team have conducted this type of workshop in India,
Japan, Belgium, Scotland, Belize, England, Bolivia, America and other
countries for more than 25-years.

Two Valencia residents built an Earthship "Hut" structure after
purchasing construction drawings from Earthship Biotecture at
www.earthship.org. Valencia workshop attendees, working side-by-side
with the American team, will construct the Hut's next phase.

Seminars and hands-on training sessions in Valencia will cover passive
solar heating, thermal mass construction, natural cooling and
ventilation techniques, active solar power and wind systems, use of
natural and recycled materials, rainwater catchment, integrated water
re-use systems, gray and black water botanical cells. The history and
development of the Earthship structure and systems will also be
discussed. More than six different types of Earthship designs will be
explained, including the Valencia structure.

Earthship Workshops will be held in two sessions: Session One is April
8 to April 10; Session Two is April 12 to April 14. The cost of $500
per person includes lunch each day, with evening slide show and group
discussion. For additional information and reservation information,
send an email to or call (505) 751-0462 in the
United States. You can also reserve your space in the workshop online!
