Keeping Geese querie

Hi All (or Any)
Does anyone keep geese for weeding purposes? I'm thinking about getting a
few (4 probably) to keep grass down in an orchard and was wondering if
anyone had any handy hints or tips?
Thanks
Andi

Thanks Janet :0)

Sounds like between the cow and the geese barefoot picnicking and rolling in
the grass will not be on the agenda - nothing spoils a mood like crap
between the toes or worse, hey, lol

Only do it if the trees are well established and taller than a goose
on tiptoe. Geese will eat smooth stems on whips, and the growing tips
out of young trees. They shit a lot, and its big and messy..a bad
combination with blithely tripping barefoot to picnick beneath the
appleblossom, or rolling in the grass on warm summer nights.

Janet.
