Tenure Track Position: Plant Molecular Biology
 
POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: The University of Oklahoma, Department of Botany
and Microbiology invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant
Professor position in Plant Molecular Biology, beginning in Fall 2011.
The candidate must be actively engaged in research addressing
fundamental aspects of modern plant biology, preferably issues of
cellular and/or developmental biology. The ideal candidate will have an
emphasis in one or more of the following areas: cell signaling,
functional genomics, proteomics/metabolomics, cell biology, molecular
evolution, or plant-microbial interactions. The successful candidate
will be expected to establish a vigorous, independent, and externally-
funded research program, participate in graduate instruction and
training, teach modern courses in plant biology, and integrate into
University and Departmental instructional and research programs.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Botany or closely related discipline,
strong record of research publication, and postdoctoral experience.
