The account very specifically notes seed bearing plants (=Spermatophyta). No algae (there are many terrestrial algae), no conifers, no ferns, no lichens, etc.

Please quantify incident radiation from the so-called "diffuse light" and provide some corroborating evidence for it's existence (other than: plants were there so it must have).

Where did this "diffuse light" go, and what was its source?

Plants require actinic light, not diffused light. The ONLY natural
source of actinic light sufficient to cause photosynthesis is a star.
