Default Tenure track position, Developmental Plant Molecular Biology

FACULTY POSITION IN DEVELOPMENTAL PLANT MOLECULAR BIOLOGY
The University of Oklahoma invites applications for a tenure-track
position in the Department of Botany and Microbiology in Plant Molecular
Biology at the Assistant Professor level beginning in Fall 2005.
Candidate must be actively engaged in research addressing fundamental
aspects of modern plant biology, preferably contributing to
understanding issues of developmental biology. Emphasis may range from
the molecular to the cellular, organismal or population level. The
ideal candidate will have an emphasis in one or more of the following
interest areas, including: cell signaling, plant functional genomics,
proteomics and metabolomics, plant cell biology, molecular evolution, or
plant-microbial interactions. Available resources include core
facilities for electron & confocal microscopy, genomics, bioinformatics
and microarrays. The successful candidate will be expected to establish
a vigorous, independent, and externally-funded research program,
participate in graduate instruction & training, teach a modern course in
plant physiology, and integrate into University and Departmental
instructional and research programs. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in
Botany or closely related discipline, strong record of research
publication and postdoctoral experience.
