It's a hosta variety, of which there are a great many.
For examples, look at:
http://images.google.com/images?as_q...t=images&gbv=1
many of which resemble yours.

The pale margins of the leaf of this variegated form wouldn't
be present on its wild precursors.

Hostas are popular garden plants.
