Ohio Wildflower? Mustard-like purple flower and escaped from garden leaves
http://www.flickr.com/photos/rhhardin/7004255857
What's this baby, emerging in Central Ohio probably a couple weeks early. I don't find it in Newcomb's. Mustard-like flower but leaves all wrong for a mustard. -- On the internet, nobody knows you're a jerk. |

The leaves are right for myrtle, though. Is four petals a variant? -- On the internet, nobody knows you're a jerk. |

Since carpel number takes precedence over petal number, without dissecting the flower it is impossible to say with certainty. However, I have seen a variation on occasion that results in a four petaled flower. |
