agriculture enviromental data acquisition

Hello,

I am looking for a meteorological data acquisition station, a data
recorder and transmiter to be positioned in different remote areas of
the agriculture fields.

I need to measure parameters such as: temperature, humidity, pressure,
rain fall, solar light, co2, and if possible any other related
parameters to agriculture and environment.

This data will be transmitted with a solar powered mobile phone to the
central PC for data collecting and analysis or it can also be hand
downloaded in each remote station with a data logger.

Please tell me if you know any companies that make similar devices.

Thanks,

Mario

Years ago I designed a similar system for the Japanese Dept. of
Agriculture with the added feature that each station could be remotely
programmed for priority readings, and instead of a mobile phone, each
station had its own VHF transmitter. Client privilege dictates I
cannot give out that design, however you might find helpful links on
other agricultural sites, especially "automated greenhouses" wink

I appreciate your discretion. However, I can not access any newsgroups on my
present server which address "automated" nor "greenhouses" let alone
"automated greenhouses."
Could someone please point me to a newsgroup which addresses this topic?

Thank you

I think he may have been suggesting a web search (Google, Yahoo, etc...)
using "automated greenhouses". I did one myself, and there were quite a few
hits. Good luck :-)

Radio networks *might* have enough range in electrically quiet areas and
modest field sizes.

This post is worth absolutely nothing and is probably fallacious.
Note: soon (maybe already) only posts via despammed.com will be accepted.

2 mile range. Japans Ag Center is just outside Osaka. Electrically,
not quiet at all. No complaints to date.

I do this all the time. Our equipment is from Campbell Scientific,
http://www.campbellsci.com . Campbell have always treated us well as
a customer, but there are numerous other companies that sell this type
of equipment so you may want to shop around.

CO2 will be your most expensive measurement, by far.
