Do locusts propagate via root cuttings
I admire a sunburst-locust tree and have taken some cuttings from the
tree. Was wondering if anyone has ever been successful at root propagation from cuttings of locust trees? |

I wonder if honeylocust scions could be grafted onto pieces of root as well? That works well for some other trees Hope this helps. cheers |

Root cuttings appear to be the best method of reproducing desirable strains in large quantities at reasonable cost. At times other species or varieties are grafted onto the rootstock of honeylocust (24)." http://www.winrock.org/forestry/fact...SH/Gledtri.htm http://www.extension.uiuc.edu/IPLANT...oneylocust.htm http://www.floridata.com/ref/G/gled_tri.cfm have a bit more info. cheers |

It has been a long time since I done a graft. |
