Help identifying LOUBEN ?
We have a bag light coloured "tears" of resin the label of which says
LOUBEN. It is used in Tunisia as chewin-gum. Would somebody have any idea of the botanical name of the tree it comes from ? Thanks in advance Brucie |
Help identifying LOUBEN ?
The word 'louben' is perhaps cognate with 'Olibanum', or frankincense.
The tree, which grows through Arab lands, is Boswellia thurifera. On Wed, 15 Oct 2003 15:51:59 +0200, "Brucie" wrote: We have a bag light coloured "tears" of resin the label of which says LOUBEN.
