Blue fungus on lawn grass

Anybody seen this before? Bluish, somewhat globular fungus along the edge
of the blades, extending from the middle to the top. Touching it releases a
fine black powder. Just a few spots affected so far. Can't google up
anything on this.

Then it is most likely a fungus. If you are in the US, contact your county
extension agent. Otherwise, you need to use a fungicide listed for lawns, and
follow he directions on the label.

It is a species of Entoloma fungi. They don't harm anybody, and you should
not use fungicides.
