Oriana 2 circular stats - now released
 

We are pleased to announce that the version 2 of Oriana has now been
officially released.

Oriana is a Windows program that calculates the special forms of sample and
inter-sample statistics required for circular data (e.g. angles or
directions measured in degrees, time of day, day of week, month of year,
etc.). It can also plot these data on a variety of specialized graphs, such
as the popular rose diagram.

Oriana version 2 is a major update over the previous version, greatly adding
to its power and flexibility. The data handling is greatly improved,
including many new data types and methods of data entry and modification.
The number of statistical tests has been expanded, with five more single
sample distribution tests, two new two-sample tests, and extension of many
of the two-sample tests to multi-sample ones. There are also
circular-circular and circular-linear correlations.

The graphics have been completely rewritten and there are now many more
graph types, including stacked versions of the various circular/linear
histograms, two-variable circular histograms and vector plots that can
accommodate linear data, new distribution plots and scatterplots.
